Tile and Grout Cleaning
ServiceMaster of Greenville and Spartanburg is proud to offer professional grout cleaning services. Even with regular mopping and periodic hand scrubbing, tile and grout can still harbor dirt in the pores of the surfaces, which can give your tile a dull or discolored appearance.
Reasons Your Tile Is Still Dirty
Tile is a beautiful and affordable way to enhance the appearance of your kitchen and bathroom, but the surfaces are often porous, leading to trapped dirt and grime. Hand scrubbing with harsh chemicals can remove most of the trapped filth, but it involves getting on your hands and knees and scrubbing each and every tile and grout line, which can be time-consuming. Using harsh chemicals can also result in the need to repeatedly rinse your tiles and grout in order to remove all the residue.
Benefits of a Professional Cleaning
- Makes Your Tile and Grout Look New
- No Harsh Chemicals
- No Need to Hand scrub Your Floors and Tile Covered Walls
- Removes Mold and Mildew
- Removes Stains and Discoloration
ServiceMaster Tile and Grout Cleaning Process
Here at ServiceMaster of Greenville and Spartanburg, we use a six-step cleaning process that will remove all the dirt, grime, mold, mildew and bacteria from your grout and tiles. Each cleaning service involves a thorough inspection of all tiled surfaces so that our cleaning professionals can determine the best method to clean and sterilize your tile. If we find stains or excessively dirty areas, they will be pretreated with an environmentally friendly cleaner.
Next, we will use a high-pressure spray and scrubber with the appropriate green cleaning solution to remove all lose dirt, grime, bacteria, mold and mildew. This process scrubs, rinses and removes the water from your tiles.
Our professionals will clean all of your baseboards and remove any excess dirt and dust in the corners of your kitchen and bathroom. Your tile floors will then be completely dried. At the end, we will apply a sealer to all of your grout lines to help prevent future dirt build-up in the pores.

After-Cleaning Care
Between your professional tile and grout cleaning services, you will want to periodically scrub your own tiles in order to maintain their appearance. If you start seeing a build-up of dirt and grime, you can use a mixture of one part baking soda with one part white vinegar. Mix these two ingredients into a paste and use a soft bristled brush to do some light scrubbing. The vinegar, baking soda and soft scrub brush will not damage your tile or grout.
